Vallejo Surface Primer Sun Yellow 18 ml

Vallejo Surface Primer Sun Yellow 18 ml is a water-based acrylic polyurethane primer for preparing miniatures, models and scenery before painting. The Sun Yellow colour establishes a consistent foundation that helps later acrylic layers adhere evenly across properly cleaned surfaces.

This 18 ml primer can be applied with an airbrush or brushed onto smaller areas. Sun Yellow works well for bright armour, cloth, insignia, magical effects and high-visibility details. Apply it in thin coats and allow the surface to dry fully before adding base colours, shading or highlights.

Vallejo Surface Primer Sun Yellow features

• Water-based acrylic polyurethane primer
• 18 ml dropper bottle for controlled use
• Designed for miniature, model and scenery preparation
• Suitable for airbrush application and careful brush work
• Creates an even foundation for subsequent acrylic colours
• Useful on properly prepared plastic, resin and metal surfaces

Preparing models with Sun Yellow primer

First, remove dust, grease and mould-release residue from the model. Shake the bottle thoroughly, then apply light, even coats without obscuring fine detail. Because drying conditions vary, allow the primer to cure before masking or continuing with the main colour scheme.

Product reference 70.629 makes the shade easy to identify when restocking. The accompanying Game Air colour chart can also help you compare the primer with compatible colours from the wider painting range.
